(2) A program consists of various instructions. Because an operation code is assigned to each instruction, the computer can clearly distinguish an instruction from data. （１）「人間からの指示を前もって記憶しており」というところが訳出されていません。もうひとつ「～は・・・・・・といえます」が「～は・・・・・です」となっています。 （２）「それぞれに命令コードが定められている」の訳で、operation code を主語にしたため、passive voice 表現になっていますが、ここでは、instruction を主語にして、Each instruction has its own operation code というように表現したほうがよいのではないでしょうか。Have動詞のようなやさしい動詞で表現できますから。 もう一つは、原文では「区別する」という動詞の主語が明記されていません。この直訳文では、それは the computer となっています。本当は、コンピュータが命令とデータを区別できるのは、operation code のためだけではないので、このようにはっきり書かないほうがよいと思います。すなわち、It is, therefore, possible to distinguish instructions form data. と書く方がよいでしょう。 [訳 文] (1) A computer could be described as a machine that receives instructions from man for a set of computation or other data processing procedures, memorizes them in advance, and then carries them out without human intervention.
